Mission Statement
Our call and purpose as a body of believers is to preach Jesus Christ, God's son as:
- Savior
- Healer
- Baptizer with the Holy Spirit
- Soon Coming King
Our Assignment in San Francisco is:
- To Develop and raise up Spiritually and emotionally healthy individuals and families who are growing in their understanding of who Jesus is. They in turn will represent Christ to the world as they live in obedience to Him and God's Word. We believe that healthy and growing individuals will develop a healthy and growing community of believers that will touch the lives of their friends and neighbors with the love of God, as well as to all those in their own spheres of influence.
- Pray - Ezekiel 22:30; I Thessalonians 5:17
- Pursue - Psalms 27:8; Deuteronomy 4:29
- Place - I Peter 2:5; Ephesians 4:15, 16; I Corinthians 12:4-7
At Hosanna, we are a community of believers in Jesus Christ who are striving to become:
- Radically and completely devoted to Christ
- Irrevocably committed to each other
- Relentlessly dedicated to reaching those outside God's family with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Vision and Call
The Church is an unstoppable force of good in the community and we are to live a life that is a testimony to God's unfailing grace and love to both the believer and the nonbeliever (those inside and outside the Church). We see our responsibility:
- To build strong saints, marriages, and families through on-going Christian education and lifestyle discipleship for all ages and levels of maturity.
Ephesians 6:1; I Peter 3; II Timothy 3:16,17
- To see everyone excel in their area of ministry to the Lord and the reproduction of trained and equipped leaders.
1 Peter 4:7-11; I Corinthians 12
- To reach all aspects and ethnic groups of our community so that the congregation becomes a true representation of our city.
Psalm 22:27, 28; Psalm 67:1-6
- To consistently, purposefully, and lovingly pray for our community and its people, seeking out the hurting with acceptance and love and treating everyone inside and outside the family of God with extreme care.
II Thessalonians 5:17; Ephesians 6:18; 2 Corinthians 1:11
- To love God and our city by worshipping God with our whole heart and listening with our full attention to His heart for our city.
Matthew 22:37-39
